We provide Emergency Care

At Oklahoma Vet Med., we are available for emergency care should the need arise. Our in-house laboratory allows us to accurately diagnose your pet's problem and begin appropriate care quickly.

In case of an emergency, please call us at (918) 423 3300 immediately or rush your pet to the nearest pet hospital in your area. If you are away from home, consult the yellow pages of the local phone book for the nearest veterinary emergency facility in the area.

Your pet might need immediate medical attention if he/she:

• Has difficulty in breathing
• Ingests an unknown substance
• Bleeds or vomits blood
• Passes blood in the feces or urine
• Has a swollen or hard abdomen that is painful to the touch
• Gets a serious wound
• Breaks a limb
• Gets an eye injury
• Loses consciousness
• Has seizures
• Is unable to move or suddenly becomes weak
• Starts behaving unusually or erratically
• Shows signs of extreme pain (whining or trembling)
• Experiences labor that does not progress
